Who can refer
We accept referrals from hospital-based paediatricians and other specialists.
Usually, we do not accept referrals directly from GPs unless they have had a recommendation from secondary providers to make the referral.
How to refer
Please address your referral to the general neurology service and send it using the details in the referrals contacts box on this page.
For routine neurological problems (such as non-complex epilepsy, first seizure, non-complex headache), please refer to a local general paediatric service or general children's medicine if they live in Lambeth or Southwark.
Urgent or emergency referrals or advice
Please contact the paediatric on-call neurology registrar through the hospital switchboard 020 7188 7188 bleep 1148 or 1183 and follow it up with the paediatric neurology referral form (Word 51KB). Please note, this form should not be used for outpatient referrals.
