If you have a concern about the care that you or your child have received, it is best to try to sort it out straight away by talking it through.
If you're staying in hospital or visiting a patient
Talk to the ward sister or charge nurse (dark blue uniform). He/she will listen to your concerns, explain the situation; agree what actions should be taken and update you on progress as required.
If the ward sister or charge nurse is not on duty, you can discuss your concerns with the nurse in charge.
If your concern is not resolved to your satisfaction, you can ask to speak to the matron (purple uniform) for the department.
If you/your child is an outpatient
Please ask the staff at any reception area to put you in touch with the member of staff you need to talk to.
