Plan ahead when coming to any of our sites during upcoming strikes affecting transport
Posted on Thursday 11th August 2022
Our services will remain open during the strikes on Saturday 13, and Thursday 18 to Saturday 20 August.
Strike action will make travel to our hospital and community sites more difficult on Saturday 13 and Thursday 18 to Saturday 20 August 2022. London-wide strikes affecting Tube, Rail and bus are planned for Friday 19 August. This is likely to be the worst day for travelling in London.
All appointments and admissions at our hospitals and community sites will still be going ahead as planned unless you are notified otherwise, but it means that you will need to consider alternative travel arrangements and allow extra time for your journey. Please plan your journey ahead and allow extra time. Unfortunately, car parking space is limited at our hospitals and community sites and fills up quickly, so we recommend that you use other types of transport if possible.
If you are not able to get here, let us know as soon as you can. Use the contact details on your appointment letter or search our services for contact information.

Please be asssured that our Emergency Department remains open 24/7 and will not be affected by any strike action. It is important to attend if you or your child is in need of urgent medical care, or if you are advised to by 111 or another healthcare professional, as our team are always here to help you. We advise that you access the closest emergency department service to where you are located due to the travel disruptions.
