Tessa Jowell Health Centre in East Dulwich
A new NHS health centre in East Dulwich, named in memory of the area's former MP, Tessa Jowell, is now open.
The centre, which stands on the site of the former Dulwich Community Hospital, offers a range of services provided by Evelina London including children's speech and language therapy and health visiting.
Sharmia, a mum from East Dulwich says: "I come here maybe about once or twice a month. I know that I'll be looked after in here and the staff are very welcoming. I'm just blown away, honestly."
The centre also offers adult services provided by Guy's and St Thomas' including community rehabilitation and falls, services for vulnerable people including asylum seekers, foot health and community diabetes services.
Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, visits to the centre are by appointment only and many services are being provided in different ways, including virtually instead of face to face. If you are required to attend the centre for your appointment you will be asked to wear a face mask and keep a safe distance from other patients, and staff where possible.
Services at the centre are also provided by King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and Omnes Healthcare, and a range of specialist, voluntary and community organisations.
