Dr Ranj with Deep from CBeebies show 'Get Well Soon'

Evelina London Children’s Hospital provided the backdrop and even some staff members for the new series of the popular CBeebies show Get Well Soon.

After the success of its first series in 2012, Get Well Soon will be returning to CBeebies at 4.20pm every afternoon from Monday 16 to Friday 20 November.

The show explores childhood illnesses with children in a fun and informative way. Evelina London specialist registrar Dr Ranj Singh, better known to CBeebies viewers as Dr Ranj, presents the programme with five loveable puppet characters.

Dr Ranj says: “In this series, I really wanted to do something for the thousands of children every year who go into hospital for tests and procedures, to try and give them something that was directly relevant to them and could help allay their fears.

“We could not have made this series without the amazing help of the Evelina London team, and I'm so proud to have the place where I work as part of our show. Evelina London is the perfect place to show children that hospitals aren't scary but can be wonderful, colourful and caring places – just as they should be.”
