Seal clinical research facility

Signage in the Seal research facility showing a cartoon seal and a gold bubble.

Our Seal clinical research facility provides a specialist environment for children, young people and their families to participate in a broad range of paediatric allergy and dermatology related clinical research studies.

Study participants are looked after by the facilities' friendly, dedicated team of research doctors, nurses and dietitians.

Our allergy research team, under the leadership of Professors Gideon Lack and George Du Toit, focusses on the development of new strategies to prevent and treat food allergies in children.

We're running a trial for babies with eczema, find out more on our research studies and trial page.

The research team is part of the combined clinical academic children’s allergy service.
