How do I get an appointment?

Your child will be referred to us by their GP or a consultant at their local hospital.

To change or cancel your appointment, please contact us:

Please tell us as soon as possible so that we can offer your appointment to another patient.

Before your appointment

We'll tell you in advance if you need to do anything to prepare for your child's appointment. If you have any appointment letters about the condition your child has been referred for, please bring them with you to your appointment.

Please write down any questions you have so that you can discuss them with us at your appointment.

During your appointment

We run a number of clinics for different conditions. Each clinic runs in a different way to suit the needs of our patients. A full list of our clinics can be found on the urology clinics page

We're a teaching hospital, so students and visitors may be observing the team. We'll always ask your permission for them to observe your appointment.

After your appointment

We'll write to the docotr who referred your child to explain what we discussed at the appointment and what will happen next. We'll also send a copy of this letter to you, your GP and any other healthcare professionals involved in your child's care.

This letter will have a contact number if you have any further questions.

If your child needs a follow-up appointment, we'll contatct you to arrange it.
