Who can refer
We accept referrals for any children under 16 with chronic (long term) or acute (short term) respiratory conditions from GPs and from hospital consultants. We do not see patients with tuberculosis or cystic fibrosis.
We work closely with the Evelina London sleep service.
How to refer
GP referrals
All NHS GP referrals must be submitted using the NHS e-Referral Service.
Referrals sent to the nhs.net mailbox or by post from GPs will not be processed.
Please refer using the following details on e-RS:
- Specialty: Children's and adolescent services
- Clinic type: Respiratory
- Service name: Children's specialist respiratory service, St Thomas' site, RJ1
Tertiary referrals
Referrals by other professionals should be addressed to the children's respiratory service and can be sent by email or post using the referral contact details in the box on this page.
In an emergency, please contact the paediatric registrar using the main hospital switchboard on 020 7188 7188 and ask for bleep 0339.
