Biography
Yusof Rahman is a consultant in inherited metabolic disease (IMD).
After graduating from University College Dublin Medical School in 1998, he completed his general medical training and obtained MRCP(I).
He spent a further three years in Dublin as an endocrine research fellow, and worked on his doctoral thesis.
In 2004, Yusof moved to London to join a metabolic medicine specialist registrar training programme at Imperial College Healthcare.
As part of his specialist training, he also spent two years at the Charles Dent Metabolic Unit, National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, for his IMD training.
He obtained his Fellowship for the Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath) in 2008 and completed his CCT in chemical pathology / metabolic medicine in 2009, prior to joining Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust and Evelina London.
Despite spending half of his life abroad, as a true Malaysian, Yusof still enjoys good food, travelling and playing badminton on a regular basis.
