Complex epilepsy (tertiary) service

Helping children with severe or complex forms of epilepsy

Our children’s epilepsy service is a specialist referral centre (known as a tertiary referral centre) for children with the most severe or complex forms of epilepsy.

We see children who are referred to us from within Evelina London Children’s Hospital and from clinics across south east England.

Our specialist epilepsy consultants run several regional outreach clinics, supported by local paediatricians.

We also run clinics such as a ketogenic diet clinic (a special diet for children with ‘hard to control’ epilepsy) and a vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) clinic.

Find out more about our epilepsy clinics.

The service is run by three specialist consultants and two specialist epilepsy nurses.
