Audiology referrals

Who can refer

Children can be referred by any healthcare professional, as long as the referral criteria are met. Referrals should only be made with the informed consent of children's parents or carers. When a referral is made by anyone other than the child's GP, their GP should be advised of the referral.

We provide routine care for children in:

  • Lambeth
  • Southwark
  • Lewisham

We provide specialist care across south London boroughs including:

  • Lambeth
  • Southwark
  • Lewisham
  • Bexley
  • Bromley
  • Greenwich
  • Croydon

We accept referrals from other boroughs on a case by case basis.

Hummingbird clinic referral criteria

Our Hummingbird clinic provides specialist hearing assessment for children with autism spectrum disorder or other complex needs. We accept referrals from all professionals for children:

  • who are undergoing social communication assessments
  • who have a diagnosis of autistic spectrum disorder
  • for whom it is difficult to obtain reliable hearing thresholds
  • who have complex needs
