Bedwetting (enuresis)

The school nursing service offers support for children and young people aged 5 to 19 with night-time bedwetting (nocturnal enuresis).

We also offer advice about mild daytime wetting and constipation.

How to get an appointment

We have 3 clinics in Brixton, Peckham and Vauxhall.

To be seen in our clinic you need to:

  • live in Lambeth or Southwark, or
  • have a GP in Lambeth or Southwark

You can refer yourself to our service by:

  • texting ParentLine on 07520 631130
  • calling 020 3049 4777

At your appointment

Our clinics are child-centred and it's important that your child attends each appointment.

At your first appointment, we'll talk with you and your child about their current health. We'll also ask you what they drink, how much they drink, and when.

We’ll talk about their wetting and together we'll develop a plan to help them become dry at night.

We work closely with the community paediatricians and we'll refer your child to them if you need it. We'll also refer you to any other services you may need.

Referral information for health professionals

All health professionals should refer by completing the Lambeth and Southwark bladder and bowel referral form (Word 288KB).
