This training course is for occupational therapists who work in a service that is prepared to establish the OT CPIP surveillance protocol. Participants should have experience working with children and young people with cerebral palsy. They will need a basic understanding of how to use a goniometer and be in a position to share the learning from the session with other members of their team.

This is a comprehensive practical training course, designed to show how elastic therapeutic taping can be used as a sole treatment or together with and complementing other therapeutic interventions.

At the end of the course you should:

• be familiar with elastic therapeutic taping, the current literature and the evidence
• know more about the skin and physiological movement of skin
• be proficient in creating and applying specific tape applications for children

Lunch will not be provided and there is no canteen facility at the training venue. There is Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Pret A Manger a 10 minute walk away.
