Our assessment and referral service provides and advice and support for GPs.
The service is delivered by a consultant paediatrician and provides advice by phone and email as well as a rapid access outpatient review facility.
Advice service
Please use Consultant Connect, Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm
Our consultant is on hand to take calls from GPs, answer queries about potential referrals to outpatients or acute referrals, or give advice about the management of the patient within primary care services.
Rapid access outpatient review
Our rapid access outpatient facility is for children who would benefit from a prompt paediatric assessment, but who do not need to urgently visit the emergency department (A&E).
Please use Consultant Connect to refer a child to the rapid access outpatient review service.
Patch paediatrician advice and local child health teams
If you're a GP from Lambeth or Southwark and your query is non-urgent, please add the child to your local child health team triage list on EMIS for discussion in your weekly triage MDT.
