Join our youth forum!

Our youth forum is a group for patients, siblings and local young people aged 8 to 20. They help us to grow and improve our services and patient experiences at Evelina London.

It is a safe space for you to share your thoughts and ideas about challenges and changes happening around the hospital, and to work on projects that are interesting and fun. Your voice can lead to real changes in the services that you, your family and friends use.

Who can join?

You can join the youth forum if you're aged between 8 and 20 and:

  • a past or present patient, or
  • live, study or work in Lambeth or Southwark

What's involved?

The youth forum meets every 2 months on Saturdays for 90 minutes, with a 30-minute break for lunch, which we will provide. Our meetings are held in person, near Evelina London Children's Hospital.

The next meetings will be on:

  • Saturday 23 November 2024
  • Saturday 1 February 2025
  • Thursday 17 April 2025

We offer a range of activities and opportunities from group discussions to arts and crafts. You'll have the chance to lead meetings, mentor other young people and take part in competitions

Why join us?

The youth forum is a great way to:

  • make a difference and have your voice heard
  • gain experiences, develop life skills and build your CV
  • empower other young people and their voices
  • have fun!

We appreciate all of your contributions. To say thank you, you'll receive a voucher for your time, certificates of participation and can include your activities on CV and university applications.

"As a young person who has been in and out of hospital since birth I only wish I was a part of this group even earlier.

It has been a refreshing experience to be around other young people who also have medical challenges and the staff are always so kind and approachable. We also get to do really fun activities."
