The children's general medicine service treats children from south London and south east England with a wide range of common childhood problems. We also support other specialist teams treating children with more complex medical conditions.
Specialist children's consultants and nurses see children at a daily outpatient clinic. We also have access to a broader team including dietitians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, child psychologists and children’s pharmacists.
We care for children who need to stay in hospital on Mountain Ward (level 5).
Working in the community
If you live in Lambeth, Southwark or Wandsworth you may be able to have an appointment at the Mary Sheridan Centre (Wooden Spoon House) in Lambeth.
These clinics help your child get the care they need closer to home. However, if your child needs an x-ray or blood test, you will need to go to Evelina London Children’s Hospital.
We also have strong links with South London and the Maudsley Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and with the general children's team at King’s College Hospital.
